About

A curated lifestyle store selling homeware, tableware, and original artwork.

Web

puracal.pt

Puracal is an independent lifestyle store based in Portugal, selling a curated mix of homeware, tableware, and original artwork. The project involved designing and building the full e-commerce experience — from product browsing through to checkout.

The challenge was to create a store that felt as considered as the products themselves: clean enough to let the photography shine, but with enough personality to reflect the brand.

Design for discovery

The store needed to work across very different product types — ceramic tableware, handcrafted objects, and unique paintings by individual artists. Each required its own context without breaking the visual consistency of the overall experience.

Product page

Product pages prioritise imagery first, with a minimal interface.
Actions like “Add to basket” are intentionally understated but always visible, to avoid disrupting the visual focus while maintaining usability.

Variants

Color selection is handled through simple swatches rather than dropdowns, keeping the interaction lightweight and visually aligned with the product.

Checkout

Checkout was reduced to the essential fields, removing unnecessary friction and aligning with the store’s minimal tone.
